The 12th Sustainable Economy Summit took place on May 27–28, 2026, at the Verte Hotel in Warsaw, bringing together business leaders, public officials, academics, and experts to discuss the energy transition, economic security, ESG, the circular economy, and Europe’s competitiveness.

Held under the patronage of the Ministry of Climate and Environment, the Ministry of Energy, and the Minister of Foreign Affairs, the event focused on Europe’s response to geopolitical tensions, supply-chain disruptions, and regulatory uncertainty.

During the opening session, Wojciech Balczun, Minister of State Assets, presented Poland’s strategy for building a more resilient economy. He highlighted the need for large-scale energy and industrial investments, including Poland’s planned investment of approximately PLN 1 trillion in the energy sector over the next decade.

Panel discussions addressed renewable energy, artificial intelligence, ESG data, energy storage, circular economy solutions, and sustainable construction, including BIM technologies and low-emission materials. Speakers also discussed diversity in business and the role of women in corporate governance.

The “Women on Boards” panel addressed gender balance in corporate governance and the need for meaningful implementation of EU rules, not just formal compliance. The summit closed with a debate on Europe’s future, highlighting the challenge of balancing climate ambitions with competitiveness, rising energy costs, and regulatory pressure.
