Sweden’s Vitec Software Group has acquired an 80% stake in Polish software producer NMG, whose clients include major energy companies such as PGE, Enea Operator, Polska Spółka Gazownictwa, and Stoen. Founded in 2002, NMG specializes in software solutions for the energy and industrial sectors. The deal marks Vitec’s first acquisition in Poland, following 77 previous takeovers across Europe.

Former majority shareholder Rafał Wnorowski retains 20% and will remain CEO for at least 3.5 years, after which Vitec plans full ownership. NMG, employing 110 people, doubled its 2024 revenue to PLN 38.4 million and achieved PLN 9.9 million net profit. Vitec cited Poland’s energy transformation and NMG’s advanced technologies as key reasons for the acquisition.
