Taiwanese invest PLN 655 mln in Polish data center cooling company
Taiwan’s LiteOn Technology will invest USD 176 mln, or PLN 655 mln, in Polish data center cooling specialist DCX, acquiring a 25% stake and valuing the company at nearly PLN 2 bln before the transaction. DCX will become LiteOn’s technology hub for liquid cooling solutions, a rapidly growing market driven by AI data centers. The investment will finance a new production plant near Warsaw and a technology center in the U.S. DCX also plans to expand employment from more than 100 people to over 200 by year-end.
After scaling the business, the company could pursue a NASDAQ IPO within several years. DCX’s clients include CERN and major U.S. technology companies.
