Tauron plans to launch the 55 MW Proszówek photovoltaic farm in the coming weeks, adding to its renewable energy assets. Located in Proszówek, Grębocice, Dolnośląskie, this project is part of several renewable energy initiatives this year. Once operational, Tauron's total installed renewable capacity will exceed 750 MW.

Expanding photovoltaic capacity is key to Tauron's decarbonization strategy, leveraging cost reductions and increased efficiency, such as bifacial panels that generate power on both sides. The Proszówek farm will feature 100,000 bifacial modules, each with a capacity of 545 Wp, covering 68.55 hectares.

Tauron is also constructing two other photovoltaic plants: Bałków (54 MW) and Postomino (90 MW), the latter sharing a connection with the Marszewo wind farm and utilizing cable pooling. Both are set to be operational by 2025.
