Three office buildings in Warsaw to be replaced with apartments
Warsaw has approved the demolition of three 1990s office buildings — Saturn, Syriusz and Orion — once part of the Empark Mokotów Business Park, to make way for new housing developed by Archicom. The site, located on Postępu and Domaniewska streets in the area known as “Mordor,” will be incorporated into the expanding Modern Mokotów residential project. Empark originally consisted of nine “planetary” office buildings designed by JEMS Architekci, whose metallic façades were considered modern at the time. Archicom has already delivered 544 apartments in earlier phases and continues transforming the district through public-space upgrades, new parks and road improvements.
The project is implemented under the lex developer procedure, with the developer also providing a new public school.
