Tusk: today we are building a large army of drones
Donald Tusk announced that Poland is launching a major drone fleet program supported by Ukrainian expertise gained during the war with Russia. The initiative aims to strengthen airspace security and will be financed with Polish and EU funds.
Speaking at the Road to URC conference in Rzeszów alongside Ukrainian Prime Minister Yuliia Svyrydenko, Tusk emphasized the value of Ukraine’s advanced drone know-how for modern defense.
The project is expected to be finalized at the Ukraine Recovery Conference in Gdańsk in June. Officials also pointed to broader cooperation in defense production and trade, noting that Ukraine is now Poland’s seventh-largest export partner.
