Ukrainians settle into Poland
Ukrainian workers are increasingly treating Poland as a long-term place to live and work rather than a transit stop to Western Europe. A survey cited by Money.pl found that 84% of Ukrainian temporary workers are satisfied with work in Poland, up from 75% two years earlier, while the share planning to leave for another country fell to 9% from 16% three years ago. The trend matters for employers facing labour shortages, especially in logistics and manufacturing. It also suggests Poland’s labour market is becoming more structurally dependent on Ukrainian workers. Date verified: 19 May 2026.
