Unemployment in Poland growing

The unemployment rate in January 2021 was 6.5 percent against 6.2 percent in December 2020, the Central Statistical Office (GUS) reported.

The number of unemployed registered in labor offices in January amounted to 1.09 million people against 1.05 people in December.

At the same time, the number of newly registered unemployed amounted to 115,100 in January 2021 against 105,400 a month earlier. In January 2020, the number of new unemployed amounted to 154,600 people.
