UOKiK fined Polskie Destylarnie PLN 239,000 and Janusz Palikot PLN 950,000 for misleading consumers in the Skarbiec Palikota loan campaign. The company posted false information to appear credible and encourage investments, then stopped paying interest and ended the campaign. Consumers were misled about the company's scale and potential investment returns.

UOKiK found that Polskie Destylarnie's actual turnover was zero in 2022, despite claims of high profits. The company falsely advertised the loan campaign as crowdfunding, thus not protecting consumers under the law. Funds were used to roll over debts, contrary to initial declarations.
