Value of Poland's digital economy to triple by 2030

Poland currently has the most prominent digital economy in the CEE region, worth approx. €44 billion. It also has the region's largest e-commerce market, worth €27 billion last year and accounting for 17 percent of the country's trade. In the past two years, e-commerce has been the main driver of digitization in Poland, according to a new report by McKinsey & Company. Analysts at the consulting firm estimated that the value of the digital economy could triple by 2030, making it more resilient to future crises.
"The digital economy in Central and Eastern Europe last year reached a value of more than €124 billion. Among the countries in the region, Poland has the largest digital economy, with a value of more than €44 billion," Tamara Kruczek of McKinsey & Company said.
"According to our projected scenario, in 2030 the size of the European digital economy could already reach up to €330 billion," she added.
