WBD keeps TVN group
Warner Bros. Discovery (WBD) has confirmed that TVN will remain within its corporate structure, ending months of speculation about a potential sale. The decision was jointly announced by Katarzyna Kiela, CEO of TVN and head of WBD Poland, and Gerhard Zeiler, WBD International President.
“After reviewing strategic options, including a potential sale, we’ve decided the best course is to continue developing TVN within WBD,” they stated. “TVN is a media leader in Poland and a crucial part of WBD’s international portfolio.”
The review process began in late 2024. In December, Reuters reported that WBD was preparing to sell TVN. Subsequent media reports suggested businessman Michał Sołowow and a consortium including Wirtualna Polska and a firm possibly linked to InPost founder Rafał Brzoska had submitted offers. Sołowow’s was reportedly the highest, but he later withdrew.
TVN remains a flagship asset in Poland's media market.
