World Bank lifts Poland growth outlook
The World Bank raised its forecast for Poland’s 2026 GDP growth to 3.6 percent from 3.1 percent, citing stronger momentum in the economy. Finance and Economy Minister Andrzej Domański said investment, consumption and exports are driving the acceleration. The bank also lifted its 2027 forecast to 2.9 percent, while projecting 2.7 percent growth in 2028.
The outlook assumes stronger expansion across the European Union but also points to slower Polish growth after 2026. The World Bank expects the pace to ease as disbursements from the National Recovery Plan wind down and slower real wage growth limits household consumption. Fitch recently raised its own 2026 growth forecast for Poland to 3.5 percent, reinforcing a broader upward revision in expectations for the economy. The June forecast put 2027 growth at 2.6 percent and 2028 growth at 2.9 percent, highlighting the upward revision.
