Wirtualna Polska Media S.A. acquired a 12.5% minority stake in Legimi S.A., Poland's leading e-book market player, for PLN 5.3 million. WP, a major online media publisher, plans to buy more shares on the same terms, remaining a minority shareholder.

The transaction, viewed as a financial investment, aligns with WP's expansion into subscription services through platforms like Pilot WP and Open FM. Legimi, with 900+ publishers, offers over 450k titles to 200k subscribers. WP, a tech holding, operates in media, advertising, and e-commerce, owning portals like WP and thematic services. In October 2023, over 21 million Poles used WP's internet products.
