The Future Inflation Index (WPI), forecasting several months in advance the direction of changes in prices of consumer goods and services in Poland, decreased for the seventh time in November – by 0.3 percentage points – the Investment and Economic Cycles Office (BIEC) announced.
“For many months, the indicator shows that the prospect of reduced demand, as a result of the slowdown on the horizon, has a much stronger impact on inflation than the cost factors that determine final prices," the BIEC said.
According to experts, cost pressure has also recently weakened, wages are rising much more slowly, and that’s all lowers labor costs.
