Wrocław University of Technology seeks participation in implementation of Baltic AI GigaFactory project
Wroclaw University of Science and Technology is seeking participation in the Baltic AI GigaFactory project and hopes to host a large scale artificial intelligence factory with massive computing power. The investment is valued at about 3 billion euros. The project, supported by Poland, Lithuania, Latvia, and Estonia, aims to build several AI gigafactories across the EU. Funding would come from both private and public sectors, with half of the public contribution provided by the four member countries and the other half by the European Commission.
The university’s proposal has advanced to the next stage of the national selection process. The European Commission will decide on final locations within two to three months.
