The number of franchisees in Żabka, Poland’s stock-listed convenience store chain, has surpassed 10,000. The chain now operates over 11,500 locations, expanding at a rate of about 1,000 new stores per year. The milestone 10,000th franchisee is Marta Dawicka, who opened a store in Gliwice. While 35% of sole proprietorships in Poland are run by women (GUS data), 65% of Żabka franchisees are women.

According to Żabka, one in three partners has run their store for over four years, with some involved for up to 20 years. Many also transition into company roles as trainers or advisors. The franchisee base is highly diverse, ranging from 18 to 78 years old, with over 800 foreign partners, mostly from Ukraine.
