Zelensky outlines US guarantees

Ukrainian President Volodymyr Zelensky said in Washington on Monday that U.S. security guarantees for Ukraine include American weapons worth $90 billion. He added that details will be finalized and formalized with partners within 7–10 days.
His remarks followed a Financial Times report claiming Ukraine had proposed buying $100 billion in U.S. weapons using European funds as part of a potential peace settlement with Russia. The newspaper also said Kyiv and Washington are preparing a drone production deal estimated at $50 billion.
Zelensky emphasized that agreements will be documented and confirmed soon, underscoring Ukraine’s efforts to secure long-term Western support.
