From November 1 to 18, entrepreneurs submitted 525,400 applications for social security contribution holidays, according to the Social Insurance Institution (ZUS). To benefit from this support in December, entrepreneurs must submit their applications by the end of November. Since November 1, 2024, micro-enterprises and court bailiffs can apply to be exempt from paying social security contributions for one selected month per year.
The exemption applies to individuals registered in the Central Register of Business Activity (CEIDG) with annual revenue under EUR 2 million. ZUS will cover the cost of the exemption, which will count toward future pensions or benefits. Applications must be submitted electronically via PUE/eZUS.
