The Electric Power System Operator (PSE) reduced the production of photovoltaic sources on Tuesday, particularly between 11 AM and 2 PM, with a peak reduction of 1.9 GW. This action aimed to address generation oversupply in the National Power System and restore its regulatory capacity. PSE implemented a non-market-based reduction to limit photovoltaic production. During the specified hours, wind farms operated at capacities ranging from 1.7 GW to 3.3 GW. Owners of the reduced sources are entitled to compensation in such situations, which occur when alternative methods fail to balance the power system without reducing generation.
