In 2021, 41 companies had their debut on the Warsaw Stock Exchange, 12 of which were on the main market. Several are waiting in line. There has not been such a clear recovery in the area of IPOs on the WSE for many years.
“In 2018 only seven, a year later also seven and last year the same. Now, taking into account the upcoming ones, there are at least twice as many, which proves a clear revival of the capital market,” Maciej Bombol, director of the Primary Market Department of the WSE, said.
This phenomenon is favored by the bull market that lasts from the end of March 2020.
Among the largest debuts this year, it is worth mentioning Pepco Group, which collected PLN 3.7 billion in a public offering, and Huuuge Games – PLN 1.7 billion. When it comes to the New Connect market, records were recorded by Woodpecker and Bioceltix with IPOs at the level of PLN 11 million each.
