27% of Poles planning to buy a new car considering BEVs
According to the 9th edition of the New Mobility Barometer by Polish New Mobility Association (PSNM), 27% of Poles planning to buy a new car consider choosing a battery electric vehicle (BEV). The acceptable budget for an electric car is most often PLN 80,000–160,000. The survey, conducted in November 2025, also shows growing openness to new brands, with 43.4% willing to buy an unfamiliar marque if it offers superior technology. Interest in used EVs remains low at 3.7%, mainly due to concerns over battery reliability and fire risk.
Limited access to home charging is another major barrier. Experts expect slower growth after subsidies end, but stronger long-term demand driven by tax rules and EU emissions regulations.
