The Forum once again brought together a record number of participants and partners from every sector, becoming an even stronger platform for exchanging experiences and building relationships among leaders of public administration, local governments, business and academia. The event confirmed that cross-sector cooperation is not only a foundation for development but also a key driver of it in the face of global challenges.

As part of the Forum, more than 500 events were held, including plenary and special sessions, discussion panels, debates, report presentations, special events, meetings with authors, press briefings, galas and concerts. The discussions addressed the most important issues shaping the contemporary world. All of them were set in the context of this year’s theme of stability in times of change.

The highlight of the Economic Forum was the presentation of awards to outstanding individuals and distinguished organizations whose activities influence political and social life in Poland. This year, the Economic Forum Program Council awarded the title of Person of the Year to Dariusz Klimczak, Minister of Infrastructure. The Company of the Year award went to Polska Grupa Zbrojeniowa. The title of Nongovernmental Organization of the Year was awarded to the Cancer Fighters Foundation. The Economic Forum Award for Culture and Science was presented to Prof. Marta Kwiatkowska of the University of Oxford.

The 35th Economic Forum in Karpacz was organized by the Institute for Eastern Studies Foundation, in partnership with the Lower Silesian Voivodeship – the Forum’s main partner, the Municipality and City of Karpacz, the host city; the City of Wrocław; Wrocław Airport and the Gołębiewski Hotel, which served as the Congress Center.
