The number of new passenger cars registered in Poland amounted to 43,764 units in February this year, which means an increase of 3.9 percent y/y, the European Association of Automobile Manufacturers (ACEA) reported. Last month's figures are the best February result in 10 years.
ACEA also reported that in the entire EU (excluding Malta), the demand for new cars fell in February by 1 percent y/y to 1.11 million units. Still the largest markets in Europe have recorded a slight recovery – in February Germany, France and the UK recorded small increases in demand after five months of continuous declines. The situation of Spain and Italy is less optimistic.
