Aforti CEO accused of misleading creditors and court

On July 22, 2025, a Warsaw court rejected Aforti Holding’s restructuring plan, citing deception by CEO Klaudiusz Sytek, who allegedly misled over 1,000 creditors and attempted to do the same with the court. The company, facing financial collapse since early 2023, owed nearly PLN 262 million. The court ruled that voting results on the arrangement were miscounted, and the company lacked transparency and viable assets.
Court-appointed administrator Marcin Kubiczek revealed Aforti may have been insolvent since 2020, comparing it to a financial pyramid. The court sided with Kubiczek, deeming Sytek’s restructuring plan unfeasible. Sytek disputes the ruling and plans to appeal, but Aforti may be too insolvent even to go bankrupt.
