According to the Agency for Restructuring and Modernization of Agriculture (ARiMR), within two days of the application period, farmers submitted 2,500 applications amounting to PLN 108 million in support for the construction or equipment of silos. The agency announced that from June 5th to July 5th, 2023, farmers can apply for financial assistance for investments aimed at improving storage infrastructure for crops such as grains, corn, and rapeseed, thereby increasing the resilience of agricultural farms to crises. The support is available to farmers who were granted direct payments in 2022 and have the right to use land for construction purposes if they plan to carry out the investment on their own property.

The funding covers the purchase of new silos, along with associated equipment such as fans, temperature and humidity sensors, blowers, electric heaters, loading or dispatching pipes and their supports. The support also includes installation and transportation. The subsidy is provided as a refund and typically covers up to 50% of qualified costs, or up to 60% for young farmers. The maximum aid limit is generally PLN 50,000, or PLN 60,000 for individuals under the age of 40. Applications can only be submitted through the ARiMR Electronic Services Platform.
