The Central Anticorruption Bureau (CBA) detained 12 former and current employees of one of banks who offered their clients “certificates of participation in investment funds”. According to CBA, two of these persons belonged to the management staff. The arrests took place in the Wielkopolskie Voivodship.
This is another detention connected with the investigation conducted by the the Regional Prosecutor's Office in Łódź. The organized criminal group supposedly operated in 2012-2017.
“The detainees, after being brought to the prosecutor's office, will hear charges of fraud aimed at obtaining material benefits of a significant value. The total amount of losses suffered by customers who bought certificates covered by the already made charges exceeds PLN 12.5 million,” the National Public Prosecutor's Office informed.
