Chinese brands taking over Polish auto market
Chinese car brands are rapidly gaining popularity in Poland, especially in the 7 seat family car segment, where they now account for about 25% of sales. In March 2026, registrations reached a record 2,280 vehicles, up 29% y/y, with strong seasonal demand ahead of summer holidays. In the first quarter, over 4,600 such cars were registered, and the segment is worth around PLN 6 billion annually. The Volvo XC90 leads the market, followed closely by Chinese models like Chery Tiggo 9 and Chery Tiggo 8.
Buyers range from budget focused to premium customers, but all prioritize quick vehicle availability.
