Cinema attendance increased 0.3% y/y in 2025
At the end of 2025, there were 534 permanent cinemas operating in Poland, according to Statistics Poland (GUS). The highest number was in the Mazowieckie region (85), while the lowest was in Podlaskie (11). Cinema attendance increased by 0.3% y/y compared with 2024.
In total, cinemas had about 1,500 screens and 285,400 seats. During the year, 2.2 million screenings were held, attracting 49.7 million viewers. The number of film and TV productions reached 302, up 15.3% y/y.
The market included 366 small cinemas (1–2 screens), 109 miniplexes (3–7 screens), and 59 multiplexes (8+ screens). Multiplexes accounted for 48.4% of screenings and 48.2% of audiences, while miniplexes had 37.8% of screenings and 36.1% of viewers.
