Danish brand enters Poland

Danish lifestyle retailer Søstrene Grene will enter Poland with the launch of its online store and mobile app on March 30, marking the first step in its expansion strategy. Founded in 1973 in Aarhus by Inger Grene and Knud Cresten Vaupell Olsen, the family-owned company now operates more than 300 stores across 17 European countries, with e-commerce active in 16 markets.

Poland becomes its 17th online market, with further expansion planned in Italy. A physical store is scheduled to open this summer at Westfield Arkadia in Warsaw, allowing in-store returns for online purchases.

The brand offers affordable Scandinavian-style furniture, décor and creative items, alongside DIY inspiration. Its strategy emphasizes “hygge” living and sustainability, including phasing out single-use products and improving logistics.
