Dariusz Lubera acting president of PGE, Dariusz Marzec dismissed
Dariusz Marzec has been dismissed as CEO of Poland’s largest power utility, PGE, without an official reason given by the supervisory board. His position is temporarily filled for three months by Dariusz Lubera, a long-time energy sector executive and former CEO of Tauron. One vice president was also removed. Sources suggest the decision was not driven by operating performance, as PGE reported record recurring EBITDA of PLN 10.6 billion in 2025. However, the company posted a net loss of PLN 6.6 billion due to large write-downs on coal assets.
PGE’s share price has fallen by over 25% in the past month.
