DL Invest: data centers are critical infrastructure
Poland could attract billions of dollars in foreign investment if it quickly creates favorable conditions for data center development, according to Dominik Leszczyński. He argues that data centers should be treated as critical infrastructure due to their importance for economic growth and national digital security.
Poland, especially Silesia, has strong potential thanks to its location, infrastructure, and geopolitical position. Global capital may shift toward Poland as demand for digital infrastructure grows. Beyond large facilities, development of smaller edge data centers near cities is essential to support AI, cloud services, and real-time applications.
To seize this opportunity, Poland must ensure access to energy, land, and streamlined regulations, strengthening competitiveness and digital sovereignty.
