In the first half of 2019, 1,836 personal electric cars and plug-in hybrids were registered in Poland, as much as 850 more than in the same period of 2018, according to the information on the Electricity Counter. Presently, 6,092 electric cars drive around Poland.
According to the e-mobility index launched by Polish Alternative Fuels Association (PSPA) and Polish Association of Automotive Industry (PZPM), at the end of June 2019, two thirds of the vehicles were fully electric (BEV), and the remaining ones were plug-in hybrids (PHEV).
At the end of May, the fleet of electric trucks and vans in Poland was 337 vehicles, while electric scooters and motorcycles up to 4,604. The number of electric buses did not change - there were 198 of them.
