Enea Operator obtains PLN 1.15 bln for RES network development in rural areas
Enea Operator, a subsidiary of Enea, has signed a funding agreement with Poland’s National Fund for Environmental Protection and Water Management (NFOŚiGW) to modernize and expand its electricity distribution network to increase renewable energy connections in rural areas. The project will receive nearly PLN 1.15 billion in grants, covering 75% of total costs, with overall investment value of about PLN 1.53 billion net. The program includes upgrades across high-, medium-, and low-voltage networks, extensive cabling, new and modernized substations, transformer replacements, and large-scale digitalization and automation, including smart meters.
One of the largest investments in the company’s history, the project will be implemented nationwide and completed by June 2026, improving grid reliability and enabling further renewable energy development.
