Enea preparing investments in energy storage
Enea plans to focus this year on preparing investments in energy storage, described as its “top priority,” according to vice president Bartosz Krysta. The company already has grid connection permits for nearly 1.4 GW of storage capacity, mainly standalone units, with additional projects planned alongside solar farms and at major power plants.
Construction tenders will be launched in 2026, with execution expected to start in early 2027. Storage capacity will be rolled out gradually between 2027 and 2029.
Enea plans total investments of PLN 9.08 bln in 2026, up from PLN 6.21 bln a year earlier. Spending on renewables and storage is set to increase significantly in 2027 as projects move into implementation.
