Fire breaks out in WB Group drone parts factory
Police are investigating a fire that broke out shortly after midnight at a WB Group facility in Skarżysko-Kamienna, where components for unmanned systems are produced. The plant was closed at the time and no one was injured. Officers are examining the site using a drone equipped with a thermal-imaging camera and are considering all possible causes, including arson. Poland’s Internal Security Agency (ABW) is also involved and is assessing whether the incident could have been an act of sabotage. WB Group described the blaze as minor, saying safety procedures worked properly and the fire was quickly extinguished.
Infrastructure was damaged, although losses have not yet been assessed. The National Prosecutor’s Office has taken over the investigation.
