Flaws detected in some new electronic IDs
Production of some electronic IDs has been halted because not all functionalities of the electronic layer worked as they should. The problem concerns 702 documents. Electronic signature did not work in them. The others were fully functional. According to the Ministry of Digital Affairs, five owners received the defective documents.
There are over 125,000 applications for the new ID, and over 50,000 have already been produced, the spokesman for the Ministry of Digital Affairs Karol Manys told to TVN24 BiS. He explained that the production of IDs with a chip proceeds as planned, and the error was detected during one of the routine checks.
