Fuel in Poland cheaper than neighbors
Energy minister Milosz Motyka said Poland may restrict foreign drivers if fuel tourism disrupts supply, but there is no plan now. He stressed this is the biggest energy crisis in 50 years, yet Poland is secure thanks to sufficient reserves and no supply risk. The situation will be monitored and rationing could be introduced if needed. Poland has some of the cheapest fuel in Europe due to the CPN price cap policy. Orlen monitors border stations online. The government is also analyzing a windfall tax.
Analysts expect strong results for Orlen in 2027 and 2028 due to high oil prices and refinery constraints y/y.
