Fuel prices reach record levels in Poland
Fuel prices in Poland have reached record highs as disruptions in the Middle East drive up oil and transportation costs. According to e-petrol.pl, average prices rose to PLN 7.99 per liter for gasoline, PLN 8.89 for diesel, and PLN 3.10 for LPG. Next week, gasoline could reach PLN 8.11 and diesel PLN 9.28 per liter. Retail prices have yet to fully reflect wholesale increases. The shutdown of Saudi Arabia’s East–West pipeline and shipping constraints have intensified supply concerns, while tanker rates have surged.
Poland’s president has proposed statutory caps on refining, import, and wholesale margins to ease pressure on drivers.
