Record fuel prices are forcing Polish transport companies to raise freight rates and renegotiate contracts. Money.pl reported diesel at PLN 9.19 a liter and Pb95 gasoline at PLN 8.19 at a Warsaw Moya station late Tuesday, while premium fuel reached PLN 9.59. Orlen also increased wholesale prices, lifting Eurosuper 95 by PLN 272 per cubic meter and Ekodiesel by PLN 110, the highest wholesale levels this year.

A Bydgoszcz operator told Money.pl it was adding PLN 1 per kilometer to rates of around PLN 5–6 and preparing contract amendments, describing a minimum increase of 15%. The company said margins had fallen from 8–10% before the Iran war to 3–4%. It uses 20,000 liters of fuel monthly and estimated fuel costs since February had risen by about PLN 200,000 across its trucks. Operators with long-term contracts face difficulty passing costs through.
