Government accepts proposal to increase salaries in budget by 3% in 2027
The Polish government has approved its proposed 2027 wage growth rate for the state budget sector, along with macroeconomic forecasts prepared by the Ministry of Finance and Economy. The government proposes a 3% pay increase for public-sector employees, including teachers, civil servants, soldiers, uniformed services, and other civilian budget-sector workers. This is slightly above the projected 2027 inflation rate of 2.5%.
The proposal will now be discussed by the Social Dialogue Council and reviewed by national trade unions. The raise would take effect within three months after the 2027 budget law is announced, with compensation backdated to January 1, 2027. The government also forecasts 3.1% real GDP growth, 5.6% nominal wage growth, and employment of about 11 million full-time jobs.
