Greenpeace protests under PiS and PO headquarters against ignoring climate crisis
On Tuesday morning, Greenpeace activists covered the premises of Law and Justice (PiS) and the Civic Platform (PO) with black banners that read “Poland without coal 2030.” The organization protests against “ignoring the climate crisis by the largest Polish parties.”
As the organizers of the campaign explained, both parties disregarded climate protection issues in their electoral programs. The protest took place the day after the Polish Energy Policy project discussed at the European Economic Congress, which expects that by 2030 the amount of coal burning in our country will remain almost unchanged.
