GWM, another Chinese EV maker, enter Polish market
Great Wall Motor is entering the Polish market, marking another step in the expansion of Chinese automakers across Central Europe. Distribution will be handled by Astana Motors, with sales expected to begin in summer 2026, starting with the ORA 5 model. The company plans to offer electric, hybrid, and combustion SUVs and crossovers, supported by a dealer network growing from 10 to 20 locations by the end of 2026.
The move reflects intensifying competition in Poland, now a key regional market. Registrations of Chinese brands surged to about 49,200 vehicles in 2025, up sharply y/y, reaching a 14.5% market share. Growth is driven mainly by brands such as MG, BYD, and Chery, with more entrants expected.
