In July 2021, the total value of trading in shares on the WSE Main Market was PLN 19.0 billion, i.e. 19.7 percent less than in the corresponding period a year earlier. The value of trading in shares on the order book fell by 20.8 percent y/y to the level of PLN 18.5 billion. The average daily value of trading in shares on the order book was PLN 842.2 million, which is 17.3 percent less than in the previous year. The value of the WIG index at the end of July was 67,637.95 points and was 34.0 percent higher than in the previous year.

In July, the NewConnect market saw a decrease in the total value of trading in shares by 88.4 percent y/y to the level of PLN 272.0 million. The value of trading in shares on the order book on the NewConnect market decreased by 88.2 percent y/y and amounted to PLN 267.9 million.

The total volume of trading in derivatives in July was 564,400 pcs, i.e. by 8.8 percent less than the year before. The volume of trading in index futures fell by 9.6 percent y/y to the level of 292,700 units, the volume of trading in stock futures fell by 25.3 percent y/y to 116,000 units, the volume of trading in currency futures increased by 18.2 percent y/y to 145,100 units, and the volume of trading in options decreased by 36.9 percent y/y to 10,700 pcs.
