Home care as an alternative to nursing homes

Due to the economic and social processes taking place in Poland, the very dynamic development of home care services is noticeable. Thanks to them, clients are relieved of the obligations related to full-time care for the elderly or the maintenance of the house itself. The elderly themselves, who qualify for a nursing home, do not have to spend the rest of their lives there. Caregivers provide them with comprehensive assistance within their own four walls while avoiding the stress of changing the place of residence.
"Home care is a service dedicated to the elderly and their families. For the elderly, the presence of a babysitter is a great solution, ensuring healthy, everyday contacts," Justyna Gnutek-Chudy, the originator and vice president of Smart Work, noted.
Home care services offered by Smart Work and Smart Care are provided by care staff from abroad, most often women in the age range from 40 to 60 years. It is mainly related to their previous life experience, qualifications, skills, and readiness to take specific actions, which allows them to work with people who require professional care and to be involved in their daily functioning.
