Inspections underway at five HoReCA program operators

Most beneficiaries of Poland’s HoReCa program have met the formal requirements of the National Recovery Plan, Deputy Minister of Funds Jan Szyszko said Monday. A crisis team formed last Friday is inspecting the Polish Agency for Enterprise Development and five institutions responsible for selecting businesses for EU-funded support. While irregularities exist, they represent a small share of disbursed funds. Those responsible will face financial consequences.
HoReCa, part of the recovery plan, supports micro, small, and medium-sized enterprises in hospitality, gastronomy, tourism, and culture — sectors hit hardest by COVID-19. The program is implemented by five operators, including foundations and regional development agencies in Szczecin, Warsaw, Kraków/Rzeszów, Bielsko-Biała, and Kalisz.
