Port Polska and the City of Kielce signed a letter of intent to cooperate on preparations for a rail freight terminal in Obice near Kielce. The proposed investment is intended to expand freight transport capacity and support industrial and logistics development in the Świętokrzyskie region. Port Polska said the location could become an important node within the planned Integrated Railway Network and improve access to rail freight for regional companies.

The parties will analyze how the terminal could connect with railway infrastructure and how its location could serve regional and international cargo. Potential routes include Benelux, Baltic states and eastern markets, including trade with Ukraine and Europe-Asia freight corridors. Port Polska is the investment program being developed by Centralny Port Komunikacyjny and includes a new national airport, high-speed rail, surrounding roads, a logistics center, Airport City and regional development projects.
