The indebtedness of Poles in insurance companies is PLN 160 million, which means that within five years their liabilities have increased 4.5 times. The number of debtors has increased almost six-fold, according to the latest data from the National Debt Register (KRD).
Insurers sell their products consistent with new, transparent rules, but it does not protect them against the backlog of customers. More than
141,000 people did not pay the premiums from concluded insurance contracts. The average consumer debt is PLN 1,132. Interestingly, it has slightly decreased over the last five years. In 2014, it amounted to PLN 1,471.
