Kulczyk offloads its highway portfolio to French fund Meridian
Sebastian Kulczyk is finalizing the sale of shares in the A2 motorway to the French fund Meridian. The French investor already had involvement in companies related to this highway. The transaction will involve the acquisition of 100% of Kulczyk's shares in the company KI One, which owns 23.8% of AWSA shares (Autostrada Wielkopolska - a concession company founded by Jan Kulczyk) and 40% of AWSA II (responsible for the construction of the Nowy Tomyśl-Świecko route).
In 2022, AWSA II generated approximately PLN 368 million in revenue and PLN 112 million in net profit, while AWSA generated approximately PLN 850 million in revenue and a net loss of PLN 202 million, with PLN 365 million in profit from sales. Unofficial information suggests that the transaction is estimated to be around EUR 700 million.
