A 6.3 percent increase is expected on the Polish leasing market in 2020, which is in line with the forecast of private investment growth and the economic development scenario in Poland, informed the Polish Leasing Association (ZPL).
“The dynamics of the leasing industry in 2020 at 6.3 percent will be consistent with the forecasted increase in private investment and the economic development scenario in Poland. The leasing industry may provide total financing exceeding PLN 82.7 billion this year. Thus, it may slightly exceed the record value of the leasing market from 2018,” the release stated.
In 2018, the value of leasing-financed investments amounted to PLN 82.6 billion (after an increase of 21.8 percent), while in 2019 it was PLN 77.8 billion (a decrease of 5.8 percent compared to 2018).
According to the association's data, the value of the active portfolio of the leasing industry increased in 2019 by 9.4 percent y/y to PLN 160.4 billion.
