LOT suspends Middle East routes
LOT Polish Airlines has suspended flights to key Middle Eastern destinations amid escalating regional tensions following US and Israeli strikes on Tehran.
Services to Dubai are halted until March 11, Riyadh until March 16, and Tel Aviv until March 23, after several countries closed airspace. The carrier says decisions align with European Union Aviation Safety Agency guidance, with passenger and crew safety the priority.
To assist stranded Polish citizens, LOT is organizing evacuation flights from Sharjah, in cooperation with Air Arabia, and planning special returns from Bangkok, Colombo, and Male. Availability is limited and requires registration.
Passengers with tickets issued by February 28 can rebook free of charge across selected routes, including Tokyo, Seoul, and Delhi. Refunds are also available for canceled flights.
Separately, PZU has automatically extended travel insurance coverage until March 10 at no extra cost.
